The American Bass Anglers will be having a tournament at Bridgeport
Lake, November 6th, 2005, Launch will be at the wise county park. Also
the A.B.A. will be having a tournament at Lake Coleman and Lake Proctor

TPWD Unveils Possible Hunting and Fishing Rule Changes – Lake Mohave

AUSTIN, Texas — The success of resource management efforts on a
variety of fronts has led Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
biologists to recommend several possible changes to next year’s hunting
and fishing regulations. Among the topics being considered include: an
expansion of special regulations affecting the harvest of whitetail
bucks based on antler characteristics, creation of an upland game bird
management permit program and elimination of the trophy red drum and
tarpon tagging requirements.

has set it’s dates for the 2006 season. We are starting with a west
region with hopes of growing into state wide tournament circuits. We

Lonestar Aquafarms Donates Red Drum – Lake Mohave

John Turner, General Partner/Manager of Lonestar
Aquafarms,
Ltd., a red fish farm outside Palacios in Jackson County, is donating
about 30,000 red drum to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD)
again this year. The three quarter pound fish, worth between $30,000
and $50,000, will be stocked today in three power plant lakes for
recreational fishing. The lakes scheduled to receive the fish are Lake
Fairfield outside Fairfield in East Texas, Lake Braunig and Lake
Calaveras outside San Antonio.
