Crestliner Selects Garmin as Electronics Supplier – Lake Havasu
OLATHE, Kan. — Garmin International Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN), announced today that Crestliner Inc. has selected three sonar products from Garmin as optional equipment on many of its new boat models. Specifically, new owners of Crestliner boats may choose Garmin’s GPSMAP 168 Sounder, Fishfinder 160 or Fishfinder 240 for installation on all Crestliner models.
“Garmin and Crestliner share a strong commitment to product innovation, so we are thrilled to have formed an affiliation with this top boat builder,” said Gary Kelley, Garmin’s director of marketing. “Crestliner owners lead active lifestyles — using their boats for fishing, hunting, waterskiing and other activities — and our electronics will add an additional level of safety, reliability and enjoyment to their on-the-water adventures.”
The GPSMAP 168 Sounder, Fishfinder 160, and Fishfinder 240 are premium sounders that utilize Garmin’s exclusive Depth Control Gain (DCG) and See-Thru technology to give boaters and anglers alike increased awareness of depth, bottom structure and underwater activity. The GPSMAP 168 Sounder goes a step further by integrating WAAS-enabled location and mapping features in a compact unit. Its built-in memory accepts data from Garmin’s MapSource line of mapping products, including Fishing Hot Spots for detailed information about America’s most popular lakes.
Crestliner joins Champion, Lund, Ranger and Stratos as the latest boat manufacturer to bring Garmin electronics on board as standard or optional factory-installed equipment. Garmin-equipped Crestliner boats are currently available through authorized Crestliner dealers. – Lake Havasu
